The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this data protection declaration.

The use of our website is generally possible without providing personal data. If personal data (for example name, address or e-mail addresses) are obtained, this takes place, as far as possible, always on voluntary basis. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent.

We would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. communication by e-mail) can have security gaps. A complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Contact Forms

If you send us enquiries using the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact data you provided there, will be stored for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.

Website Visitors

Like most website operators,we collect non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Our purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how our visitors use our website.

Our website www.starfish.vc also processes potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. StarFish Capital GmbH does not use such information to identify its visitors, however, and does not disclose such information, other than under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information, as described below.

Server-Log-Files

  • URL of the page being viewed
  • Referrer URL

  • Time of the server request (in local user’s timezone)

These data cannot be assigned to specific persons. These data are not combined with other data sources. We reserve the right to check these data subsequently if we become aware of concrete indications of an illegal use.

What is tracked?

The following information is recorded and stored onsite by our Matomo-based tracking system

  • Date and time of the request
  • Title of the page being viewed
  • URL of the page being viewed
  • URL of the page that was viewed prior to the current page (Referrer)
  • Screen resolution being used (responsive layout)
  • Time in local user’s timezone
  • Files that were clicked and downloaded
  • Links to an outside domain that were clicked
  • Pages generation time (the time it takes for webpages to be generated by the webserver and then downloaded by the user)
  • Location of the user: country

We only store anonymized IP-addresses associated with visitors.
